Morzine is a resort that never fails to evolve and there are some excellent upgrades expected for the Winter 23 season, both on the slopes and on the streets of the village.
A New Route on Nyon
Nyon is one of the unhidden gems of our local pistes, often quiet and perfect on our powder day. Here at Chalet Fourmiliere, guests enjoy fast and easy access to the Nyon plateau, using our driver service to delivery to drop you off immediately outside the gondola station. New for this winter season, a new route named 1000D is a signposted itinerary connecting you from the peak of the Nyon summit with the bottom of the home run, a whopping 1000 metres of descent, all on one piste. Hop straight on the lift and do it all over again!
Apres Ski with a Differences in Les Prodains
Once the mountain has closed for the day, the fun doesn’t stop in Les Prodains! Use the Prodains Express lift, grab a mountain kart at the top and descend through the trees as darkness settles. This is a really unique and fun apres experience, all you need to get involved is your lift pass and a helmet. Of course your Chalet Fourmiliere driver will be waiting for you at the bottom!
A Pedestrianised Village
There’s been a huge emphasis on reducing the volume of traffic in the centre of our beautiful alpine village in recent years, and for the first time this winter, holiday makers will be able to enjoy the square outside of Office de Tourisme without navigating the traffic. This entirely pedestrianised space will host live music concerts, activities and entertainment for children and it’s expected to become a real hub for village life too.
Promotion for our Ice Hockey Heroes
Last winter our local team were promoted to France’s Division One league and you can imagine the celebration that took place! Ice hockey is a big deal around these parts, so this winter we can look forward to games at a much faster pace, with an elevated atmosphere at the Skoda Arena. It matters not whether you’re into ice hockey, a night at the hockey is set to become an unmissable holiday experience.
A Pleney Makeover
Over €200,000 has been spent on upgrades across the Morzine Ski Area, from a rearranged Penguin Park to an upgraded Chemin des Zouzous. You’ll also discover new signage, better piste markings and a new magic carpet and dedicated beginners area on the Nyon Plateau. We’re delighted to see our ski area evolving and improving each winter.
