Wellness Retreats

Take time to breathe in the fresh alpine air and provide your mind, body and soul with some well-deserved R&R.

We’re delighted to have received so many requests to hold Wellness Retreats at Chalet Fourmiliere. With soulful, healthy food and relaxing, reviving yoga, coupled with plenty of time to ski or take in the local sights with a mountain hike. Maybe you’ll head to Les Gets for a detoxifying spa experience or simply relax in our beautiful chalet surroundings. We’re delighted to introduce our upcoming retreats in April and May 2023.

“Retreating with Shruti is fun, relaxed and nurturing. She is able to bring all levels on a journey from the beginning to end of retreat, holding space carefully for each guest. Her approach to yoga is a welcome combination of the anatomical and spiritual and her massage are both remedial and therapeutic. I’d highly recommend a retreat with Shruti!” – Louise

Balance your Body & Mind – Yoga & Rejuvenation Retreat

Saturday 13th May to Saturday 20th May 2023

As springtime gives way to longer days and the fresh mountain breeze begins to warm, is there a better time to reset your sense with some dedicated self-care and peak performance?

“Shruti is truly wonderful. Her authentic and calm style make for a fantastic yoga experience. I love how she can flex between calm yin and dynamic yoga sessions, depending on the mood and needs of the class. I personally love her natural nurturing approach. In addition, her massage skills are incredible!” – Bianca

Join us for a week of wellness with Dr Caroline Longmore and Shruti. We’ll learn more about bringing your mind and body back into balance and your best health. Caroline adopts a truly holistic and integrative approach to her work, combining a focus on nutrition, sleep, hormones, the immune system, stress, relationships, work and physical fitness to provide her patients with a 360 degree approach to healthcare.

Our Yoga & Rejuvenation Retreat offers you the chance to learn more about how to optimise your diet with cookery demonstrations, whilst Caroline’s bite-sized daily workshops will certainly give you food for thought on which habits to reset. Each guest will be offered a 30 minute initial consultation with Dr Longmore. Caroline is also available for acupuncture and detailed personalised consultations on retreat, and she is delighted to offer follow ups in-person or online to support you on your wellness journey well after your week with us has come to an end.

During this week, we’ll be working with Michelin-trained chef Benjamin Aubert on a very special menu. Think nutritious and healthy vegetarian breakfasts, fruit and energy ball snacks to take with you on the slopes, immune boosting juices and therapeutic smoothies plus a three course supper with energising salads, vegetables and pulse mains and lighter guilt-free sweet treats.

Shruti Srivastava, Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist and Founder of Yoga Mapp

rpt

Shruti aims to help guests achieve a sense of deep relaxation, be that through massage or yoga while on retreat.

Her yoga classes are all about correct alignment in a pose and getting in and out of postures safely, having used yoga to rehabilitate after a ski injury (thankfully, not in the Alps..!) and three leg operations.

Shruti worked in legal recruitment for 15 years and understands the need to balance the pressures of a stressful career with mental, physical and emotional well-being. She completed Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher training in Goa in India with further training in Yin and restorative yoga from the UK. She completed her holistic and Deep Tissue massage therapy training from City Lit in the UK.

In August 2020 she was inspired by online yoga and a passion to build a community to launch wellness platform Yoga Mapp.

On retreat, Shruti offers a morning dynamic vinyasa flow class, which links movement with breath to help you feel energised and balanced for the day ahead.  Her light-hearted approach and chilled playlists will help you feel motivated to make progress and stay focused.

In the evening, her floor-based sessions, based on principles of Yin and restorative yoga and deep stretching using blocks, straps will leave you feeling restored and your nervous system relaxed. You can expect your sessions to end with a little nurturing head or foot massage…dosing off in Savasana is most welcome!

Alongside various meditation and self-massage techniques that she has picked up along the way, Shruti will also share with you her tips to develop your own practice at home to help you on your personal yoga and wellness journey.  She looks forward to meeting you on the mat! In August 2020 she was inspired by online yoga and a passion to build a community to launch wellness platform Yoga Mapp and has been featured in an Ocean Spray TV Commercial, Marie-Claire and Stylist.
