If Chalet Fourmiliere is home to the best country house party in the Alps, the brand new La Folie Douce in Avoriaz is home to the best apres party in the Portes du Soleil. As you may have seen from our own Instagram feed this winter, our guests have spent many a sunny afternoon on the party terrace.

With locations all over the Alps, La Folie Douce is renowned for its epic apres parties loaded with champagne and live performers alongside its chic restaurants and delicious food. The chain was created in Val d’Isere by a mother and son duo in 1981 and has gone on to become one of the most glamorous and colourful apres venues.
Avoriaz became home to a brand new, built-for-purpose La Folie Douce during Winter 2019 when Joseph Lenvers decided to build the venue on the site of his multi-generational family restaurant, Chez Lenvers. The local Lenvers family opened the first restaurant in Avoriaz in 1955, and now in its new incarnation, the venue continues to go from strength to strength.

Located at the top of the Plateau chairlift, La Folie Douce Avoriaz is easy to find. Open from first thing each day until 6.30pm, there are two dining options; La Petite Cuisine, a self-service restaurant spread over two floors and serving locally-sourced ingredients each lunchtime, and La Fruitière, an exclusive fine dining restaurant open for lunch and dinner each day.
Of course your dedicated concierge can help you plan your route to Avoriaz’s newest venue and book a table in La Fruitière too. Just ask!
